A connection to what matters most

At Astound, we have always believed that with the right tools and support, anyone can achieve their goals. That’s why we’ve launched the Connecting Communities Initiative. It’s our way of giving back to the communities we serve and helping to make a positive impact on those who need it most.

Our business is all about creating connections—from homes to communities to the world—through our cable, internet and phone service. But more than that, we seek to connect our neighborhoods to what matters most, so we can all live and work in a place where dreams can be pursued and lives can be enriched.

One of our current priority projects focuses on students and providing them with a positive learning environment, because education is one of the most powerful tools in creating a vibrant and healthy community.

In addition to our program of charitable giving and donation of services directly to local schools, we support the following national corporate charity:

Adopt-A-Classroom is a nonprofit organization that increases opportunity for student success by empowering teachers with community partners and funds to purchase resources for the classroom. Astound Broadband has adopted several classrooms within the communities we serve, focusing on classrooms in schools where over 75% of the students come from low-income households. We make direct financial contributions to these classrooms and sponsor classroom-related activities.

During the entire month of August, we donated $10 of the fees collected for each new residential installation to local school districts throughout our service areas. With a decrease in state funding for education, this was a helpful gift to the schools in the communities we serve.
